We found Jon and Black Dog Building Co. by word of mouth and are SO GRATEFUL. He renovated our entire basement down to the studs: I'm talking an entirely new layout including adding a bathroom, two bedrooms, wet bar, office, mechanical room, and game den. This was a BEAST of a project (did I mention we found 20,000 pounds of river rock in our basement? Ask Jon about that), and he took it on with gusto. Not only did he invite us into the creative process of reimagining the space, but he brought his unique skillset and design to truly round it out and problem solve throughout the whole process. It’s beautiful. It’s functional. It’s exactly what we were hoping for and then some. In addition to being a highly competent contractor, caring about the details and truly improving our home, he is a genuine man of character. When you find someone to work with who not only communicates clearly but with integrity, ingenuity, and a willingness to do hard things outside of their comfort zone, you take note.
